Ever a visonary and innovator, Arthur Rubloff has been called the man who changed the face of Chicago. His pioneering concepts were the catalyst for dozens of ground-breaking projects that indelibly enhanced the Chicago skyline, including the Magnificient Mile of North Michigan Avenue.

Rubloff created master plans for the Fort Dearborn Project and North Loop Development. Yet his foresight and influence extended well beyond downtown. Rubloff built Evergree Plaza, the first regional shopping center in the country; Carl Sandburg Village, one of the largest urban mixed-use communities in the world; and Hyde Park's University Gardens apartment community; as well as sponsored the redevelopment of Old Town. Over the years Rubloff built Loop headquarters for some of Chicago's most prominent businesses, including the Brunswick Corp, AON Insurance and Morton International.

By the 1980's, the company was operating in a dozen U.S. cities. Its development division was eventually sold to a Tokyo-based firm, and its commercial division was acquired by Koll, now known as CB Richard Ellis.

In 1996 the partnership of Howard Weinstein and Tom Horwich acquired Rubloff's residential division. Their hands-on management style and capital investments have built Rubloff Residential Properties into one of Chicago's most respected real estate firms.
